Artist Statement

I’m Bethany — a painter and muralist, passionate about wellbeing and the outdoors, who transforms spaces through nature, imagination and storytelling. Whether it’s an intimate corner of a café, a whole studio wall, or the side of a building, I create murals that change how a place feels: calmer, warmer, more alive.

I came to murals through painting. For years my world was oils and acrylic on canvas — wildflower meadows, coastlines, big open skies — and that love of nature still runs through everything I make. Murals gave me scale, and I’m drawn to work of every size: from a quiet detail in gold to large-scale public and commercial pieces that become part of a place’s identity.

My background is in teaching and what pulled me toward this work was a simple belief — that the spaces around us shape how we feel, our mood, our focus, our sense of belonging. Every mural is designed around its space, its purpose, and the people who’ll live with it. Whether indoors or outdoors, intimate or monumental, the aim is always the same: to turn an ordinary space into somewhere that makes you feel something.
